DALLAS

The past few weeks have been intensssse.

Most of my time was spent working on this:

To take it with me here:

And back to this place:

With these amazing people:
The DSVC Student Show & Conference was a big hit once again. All the stress I was under putting together my child (portfolio) was semi-worth it after getting some great feedback from the pros.

Goods:
  • Walkie-talkies for the road trip
  • Beautiful Dallas weather
  • Hearing Wayne Geyer's wit every day
  • Bri and Dave's "Creative Cursing" book, used for impromptu battles
  • Giant sangria margarita
  • Meeting up with Jeff Barfoot for a portfolio critique
  • Kicking it with Beau from HKS and enjoying some brewskies outside
  • Hanging out with some great design kids from around the country
  • Getting a free t-shirt/paper samples/inspiration
Not-so-goods:
  • Econo Lodge
  • Nastiest orange juice on the planet
  • "Job Fair" translated to "Unpaid Internship Fair"
  • Longest drive home everrr
Overall, well worth the time and moneys. It's been an adventure playing catch-up, but nothing's better than a sweet road trip with some good friends. I made some great connections while down there, and I can only hope it all pays off!
